Rachael Watson

Director, Community Engagement, Campaign for Nature

Rachael Watson leads Campaign for Nature's engagement and coordination with Indigenous People and Local Communities. In this role, she supports partnership development and advocacy for a rights-based approach to conservation, including serving on the technical advisory team for CLARIFI in partnership with RRI. She has over 20 years of experience in international development, public and government engagement, and social impact strategy and communications. From working with small nonprofits and community organizations to Fortune 500 companies, she brings valuable insights from across multiple industries and disciplines.  Her geographic focus includes the US, Latin America, and Africa, in addition to Small Island Developing States. Rachael holds a BA in Latin American Studies and Sociology from Vanderbilt University, an MA in International Development from George Washington University, and an MA in International Child Welfare from the University of East Anglia in the UK. She serves on the board of the Global Good Fund, is a Presidential Leadership Scholar, and is a US-Spain Council Young Leader alumnus.
